B2EL Project: Infrastructure – Road Construction with Mechanical Concrete

At Back2Eden Lifestyle, we are continually exploring innovative and sustainable methods to develop infrastructure that supports our mission. Recently, we embarked on an ambitious project to construct a road using mechanical concrete—an eco-friendly technique that utilizes discarded tires to reinforce the road’s foundation. This method not only recycles materials but also ensures a durable and stable roadbed, even in challenging terrains.

Over the past few weeks, our team has been hard at work, excavating the area and laying the groundwork for this new road. The process involves strategically placing tires, which are then filled with rock and other materials. This forms a solid base that holds the road in place, preventing erosion and maintaining the integrity of the structure.

As we progress, we’ve observed that while the technique is effective, it does require precise placement of rocks, especially at the base and corners of the tires, to ensure stability. We’ve been learning and adapting as we go, making adjustments to improve the road’s durability.

In addition to the mechanical concrete, we’ve also installed several “kokers” or concrete tubes under the road to facilitate water flow. This is a crucial step in preventing water from accumulating on the road surface, which could lead to damage over time. The kokers are strategically placed to ensure that water is efficiently drained away from the road, maintaining its longevity.

One of the challenges we’ve encountered is the need for additional materials to stabilize the tires and the roadbed further. As the retrofast passes over the road, some tires have shifted slightly, which highlights the importance of having ample material to fill and stabilize the tires properly.

We’ve also learned that continuous adjustments are necessary to keep the road even and stable. Our team will continue to bring in more materials, focusing on areas that need reinforcement, and ensuring that the road remains smooth and functional.

We are committed to completing this road with the highest standards of quality and sustainability. The next steps include leveling out the remaining sections, adding more material where needed, and continuing to monitor the road’s performance as we progress.

This project represents a significant step forward in our efforts to build a sustainable and resilient infrastructure at Back2Eden Lifestyle. We are grateful for the support and patience of our community as we work towards creating a road that will serve us for years to come. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this journey, and thank you for being part of our mission.
